My Story

I was born and raised in Howell Michigan and after college moved to Milford to raise my family.  

Growing up in a family of educators, I went off to college to be a teacher.  When I first graduated, instead of teaching, I decided to get my real estate license and sell real estate.  I was a realtor  for a few years and loved it!  However, with two little ones, I decided, I would go back to teaching as that matched my children's schedule better.  Although I was teaching, I never stopped reading about the market and I invested in real estate market.  After purchasing and selling a few of my investments I found that my love of marketing and love of real estate was a match made in heaven and the Michelle Payne Team evolved. 

Outside of real estate, I am a daughter, sister, wife and mother.  I have two wonderful adult children and a loving, supportive husband. By nature, I am an odd blend of nurturing yet competitive, which I think is one of my strongest skills when it comes to working with clients and negotiating on their behalf. When I'm not analyzing data, I love relaxing on the beach, enjoying the warmth of the sun, listening to the birds chirp and great cup of coffee!
